Accounting

Accounting is one of the leading business sectors in the world today with employment projected to grow by 7% between 2020 and 2030.  The industry promises to remain dynamic and rewarding for years to come, with emerging specialties in the areas of International, Investigative & Forensic, and Environmental Accounting.  For those undergraduates who have an interest in problem solving, business operations, analysis, innovation and strategy, Accounting may be a good place to start with an internship or first job.

Accounting, at its core, is a process of identifying, recording, analyzing, summarizing and reporting financial information to decision makers.  Accounting knows no boundaries and transcends industries and companies, ranging from Fortune 500 companies, to family-owned small businesses, to non-profits, to government agencies, and everything in between.
