Healthcare Market Research Intern – Inspired Health Team
West Monroe is seeking an enthusiastic Healthcare Market Research Intern to join our Inspired Health Team in Boston this summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare market research, working alongside industry experts in a vibrant and innovative sector.
Inspired Health is West Monroe’s Boston-based insight consultancy. We collaborate with leading healthcare companies to design qualitative and quantitative research programs that support the innovation, sales, and marketing of medicines and medical devices.
Overview of the Internship Role
As a Healthcare Market Research Intern, you will work closely with a small, agile, multi-disciplinary team – we call these teams Insight Pods. Your pod will mentor and guide you, providing hands-on training and exposure to both qualitative and quantitative research projects.
You will assist associates, managers, and the Pod leader in the management and execution of custom-designed research projects for clients. This internship is designed to help you develop foundational skills in healthcare market research while contributing to meaningful projects.
Some tasks you might complete:
- Help recruit research participants (e.g., physicians, patients, caregivers) through vendor collaboration.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing interviews and focus groups.
- Observe interviews, take notes, and identify themes to address objectives.
- Support the programming and testing of research questionnaires.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions (“Data Parties”) to discuss findings and implications.
- Assist in creating impactful research presentations with the Data Visualization team.
Qualifications / Experience
We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Ideal qualifications include:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with graduation between December 2026 and Summer 2027
- Interest in market research for the medical and healthcare industry.
- Interest in learning and practicing a range of research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- A proactive desire to broaden and deepen your business and consulting skills.
- A commitment to inclusion, diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, less structured environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date; our culture emphasizes team collaboration within a hybrid work model
