Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, the Partnership Specialist at Reflection Sciences works with our small and close-knit team to create new school partnerships and grow existing relationships. Your responsibilities will include discovering and meeting new potential partners, working with our Director of Partnerships to qualify and nurture new partnerships, working with our Implementation Specialists to ensure the long-term health of our partnerships, managing communications and learning opportunities for our community. This includes some conference travel.
As a full-time employee at an education startup, you will have a wide range of responsibilities and the opportunity to grow your skills and career rapidly. Compensation includes a good base salary, health insurance, sales commissions, and bonuses. You may also earn company stock options. Work is remote unless traveling for events. We work hard… but we do not schedule meetings or deadlines on Fridays.
In this role you will learn the fundamental skills needed to grow a business from the sales and marketing perspective. People in this role are often promoted into senior roles in sales, customer success, marketing, operations, and the executive suite.
Responsibilities
Communicating with people & learning about their needs: The most fundamental role you’ll play is that of communicator and connector.
Partner lead generation: Meet new potential partners through media, social media, events, and other channels.
Partner lead qualification: Learn about new potential partners’ needs and discover whether or not there is a good fit between us.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, that leads to renewals and long-term partnerships.
Feedback Loop: Collect and relay client feedback to our product development team to drive continuous improvement of our program.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, support issues, and upsell opportunities in our CRM system.
Innovation: Take notes from clients and pitch creative ways to provide them the requested services.
Supporting Sales: Help the company increase its sales, for which you will be rewarded with commissions and bonuses.
Qualifications
Desire to build a career in the education sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced remote environment.
Ability and willingness to travel for work on a flexible schedule, approximately once a month for 2-4 days at a time.
Childcare or education experience is a plus… but it doesn’t need to be formal work experience, and passion for early education is just as important.
Experience in a hospitality service role (e.g. restaurant waitstaff, host, bartender, runner, kitchen) is a plus. This is a people-centered role.
The ability to speak Spanish is a great skill to have since we work with many Spanish-speaking populations in the United States.
Compensation
The base annual salary range for this position will be determined based on experience and in line with market norms. You can expect typical startup compensation: middle-to-lower range comp in your base salary, with more comp in the form of commissions, and the opportunity to take more even comp in the form of stock options.
All our sales-related roles receive a monthly commission.
