This position will be based out of Marshall+Sterling’s Poughkeepsie Office.

As an Operations Intern, you’ll contribute to improving systems and workflows across our Group Benefits team, giving you the opportunity to experience how Operations functions in the Employee Benefits department. You’ll support research, data entry, automation testing, and meaningful projects while shadowing experienced team members across the M+S Employee Benefits, and TPA. You’ll also participate in community service opportunities and learning and professional growth workshops will be available throughout the internship.

What You’ll Do

  • Review workflows and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Assist with testing efficiencies and automation enhancements
  • Support clean-up projects and documentation updates
  • Perform research and data-entry tasks
  • Shadow team members to understand day-to-day operations
  • Participate in community service initiatives
  • Take on meaningful assignments that contribute to the team’s success
  • Attend learning and professional development workshops

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program.
  • Working knowledge of basic office procedures, Internet, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
