Applications to the 2027 Girls Who Invest (GWI) Scholars Program are now open for undergraduate sophomores and first-years in all majors!

The GWI Scholars Program offers tuition-free education and training that build technical and career development skills to position Scholars for successful careers in investment management and beyond. Sophomore applicants can opt into consideration for our Internship Track to become eligible candidates for paid internships at GWI Partner firms. All Scholars participating in GWI’s Internship Track complete a carefully curated curriculum aimed at positioning Scholars for success in their internship search.
As the program progresses, Scholars will continue their education in either the Summer Intensive Program (SIP) or the Online Intensive Program (OIP) – dependent on factors including but not limited to availability of internships at our Partner Firms, Scholar internship preferences, and in-program performance.

- All GWI-facilitated internship matches are frontline, buy-side investing roles in a range of asset classes, in locations across the U.S.
- Many GWI-facilitated internships are paired with an in-person training component.
- Housing and meals are provided during in-person training components, if applicable.
- Need-based financial assistance is available to assist with other costs, including travel to in-person training and housing during GWI-facilitated internship components, if applicable.

- Note: Compensation, internship timelines, and work authorization requirements vary by role and are set by individual Partner firms.
Who is eligible?
- All majors are welcome – no finance experience is necessary!
- College first-years and sophomores currently enrolled at an accredited four-year U.S. or U.S.-style university with an expected graduation date between fall 2028 and spring 2030
- Students currently attending two-year U.S. colleges with plans to transfer to a four-year college or university by fall 2027 are eligible to apply. More details about requirements can be found on our website.

When is the deadline to apply?
The priority deadline to apply to the 2027 GWI Scholars Program is September 15, 2026. Applications submitted by the priority deadline can expect to receive a decision by October 15, pending application volume.
