Job Description
This role is a project-based opportunity with a Single Family Office that manages U.S. and global assets as well as oversees the family’s financial, estate and income tax planning and compliance.
We are seeking a part-time accounting intern to work onsite in our Back Bay Boston office and collaborate closely with our accounting leadership. As the office converts from Quickbooks Desktop to an online version of QuickBooks (Intuit Enterprise Suite) this role will support accounting data migration and reconciliation, as well as verify the accuracy of post-migration financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm the transfer of data from QuickBooks Desktop to Intuit Enterprise Suite.
- Compare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and detailed transaction reports for accuracy after the data transfer.
- Identify discrepancies and support timely resolution.
- Maintain privacy, discretion, and confidentiality when handling financial
information.
Qualifications
- Completion of one academic year of Accounting, Finance or Business-related undergraduate course work.
- Understanding of basic accounting.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with QuickBooks a plus.
- Investment Accounting experience a plus.
- Must currently have authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
