If you are an international student in F-1 status and have secured a Summer ‘25 internship in the U.S., please review the following information:
U.S. Federal regulations require CPT work authorization before an internship can begin. Enrollment in either course below is required before ISSS can issue CPT.
Course 1. MOB3531: Career Launch | Internship Experience Lab

a. Follow the steps below to apply for MOB2322: Career Exploration Lab (CEL)
Step 1: Verify Immigration & Academic Eligibility with ISSS
- Visit ISSS’s CPT website
- Attend ISSS’s Virtual Drop-In Advising
- Schedule an Appointment with an ISSS Advisor
Step 2: Secure an Internship Offer
- Start Date (no earlier than May 10, 2025)
- End Date (no later than August 24, 2025)
- 4-week minimum duration
- 40 total internship hours minimum
Step 3: Apply to enroll in MOB2322: Career Exploration Lab (CEL)
- Visit the MOB2322: Career Exploration Lab Canvas Page
- Submit an Application via Handshake Experiences
- Attach Internship Position Description
Step 4: Obtain CPT Authorization
Step 5: Begin Internship!
